Project Overview

Working as part of Artist Uprising's design team, I contributed to this ongoing multi-location initiative that spanned an entire year. With accelerated timelines often requiring multiple facility designs per month alongside other client projects, this project demanded efficient design processes and seamless team coordination to maintain quality across all deliverables while meeting aggressive deadlines.

The Challenges

Managing design consistency across multiple facilities with varying architectural constraints, each with tight timelines and often multiple locations per month.

Creating precise, installation-ready designs without the ability to visit most sites in person.

Navigating diverse feedback from multiple client stakeholders across different locations while balancing corporate brand guidelines with site-specific preferences.

Inconsistent wayfinding systems that were either outdated or lacked clarity in large industrial environments.

The Solutions

Served as secondary art director, stepping into leadership role when the primary was unavailable. Managed design team workflow, maintained project momentum, and ensured quality standards across all deliverables despite aggressive schedules.

Leveraged building measurement documentation services providing BIM and CAD deliverables to create accurate designs, supplemented by insights from the one facility tour I was able to attend.

Collaborated closely with the project management team who acted as on-site liaisons, translating stakeholder feedback into actionable design directions while maintaining brand consistency.

Developed comprehensive wayfinding solutions alongside branded graphics, improving both navigation functionality and visual brand presence.

Balancing Brand Consistency with Local Identity

I contributed to and optimized the established framework that honored corporate brand guidelines while incorporating site-specific elements meaningful to each location's team - whether city-specific references like Austin, TX themes or facility-function specific elements such as bottling operations. This approach allowed each facility to feel personalized while maintaining ARCA's overall brand integrity.

Transforming Industrial Spaces Through Strategic Design

The comprehensive design execution included creating over 50 unique design elements per site including vinyl graphics, LED signage, and updated wayfinding systems. I handled graphic design work from concept through print-ready file delivery, coordinating with our established print vendor to ensure consistent quality and installation standards across all locations. The result was transformed industrial spaces that improved employee morale, enhanced client visit experiences, and reinforced ARCA's brand presence while celebrating each location's unique character.
